Privacy Statement
Privacy StatementBecause we believe it is important that your data is in good hands with us.
Hotel Almenum respects the privacy of website visitors, newsletter recipients, and other stakeholders. We ensure that the personal information you provide is treated confidentially. Personal data is processed in accordance with the requirements of the Personal Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We never sell data to third parties.
Purposes of data processing
We process your personal data for the purpose of entering into and executing agreements regarding legal services (accommodation & breakfast) and managing the relationships arising therefrom, including carrying out activities aimed at expanding the customer base.
If you fill out a contact or reservation form on the website, or send us an email, the data you provide will be retained for as long as the nature of the form or the content of your email requires for a complete response and handling, and for up to six months thereafter. This includes your name and address, telephone number, and email address.
Sharing with other companies, institutions, and government agencies
We will not, under any circumstances, share your personal data with other companies or institutions. If the government (police, judicial authorities, tax authorities, etc.) requests this based on the law, we are obligated to do so.
Click behavior and visitor data
General visitor data is tracked on the website. This includes, in particular, the IP address of your computer, your username (if applicable), the time of your request, and data sent by your browser. These data are used for statistical analyses of visitor and click behavior on the website. We also use this data to optimize the website.
We anonymize this data as much and as far as possible. This data is not provided to third parties.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to track how visitors use the website. The information thus obtained, including your computer's IP address, is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.
Google uses this information to track how our website is used, to provide us with reports about the website, and to offer its advertisers information about the effectiveness of their campaigns. Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally required to do so, or if these third parties process the information on Google's behalf. We have no control over this.
Facebook and Twitter (social media)
The website includes buttons to promote or share pages on social networks like Facebook and Twitter. These buttons are implemented using code provided by Facebook and Twitter themselves. This code places a cookie, among other things.
Please read the privacy policies of Facebook and Twitter (which may change regularly) to see how they handle your personal data processed using these codes. This also applies to other social media channels such as Instagram, YouTube, etc.
Newsletter
We offer a newsletter to inform interested parties about hotel news, promotions, pre-arrival and post-departure services, our services, and related matters. Your email address will only be added to the subscriber list with your explicit consent. Each newsletter contains an unsubscribe link. The newsletter subscriber list will not be shared with third parties and will not be used for advertising without your consent.
Use of cookies
We use cookies when offering electronic services. A cookie is a small file sent along with pages from this website and stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. This allows us to, among other things, combine various requests for pages you have visited on our website and analyze user behavior. You can disable the use of cookies through your browser. This may negatively impact the functionality and ease of use of the website.
Access, correction, and right to object
If we store your personal data, you have the right to access the data we have recorded upon written request (right of access). If the overview we provide contains inaccuracies, you can request in writing that we amend the data (right of rectification) or delete it (right of erasure). The GDPR also addresses the right to object, the right to data portability, and the right to restrict processing. Given that we only store your personal data in a limited way, we expect that the latter rights will be used sparingly, if at all.
With your request, we may ask you to identify yourself by attaching a valid (copy) of your ID. It is important that you mask your Citizen Service Number (BSN) and passport photo.
We will generally comply with your request within 30 days. If we need to extend this period for good reason, we will notify you in a timely manner.
